Scholarships
Applying for scholarships is an important step in reducing the overall cost of law school. Scholarships can help cover tuition, books, application fees, and living expenses, lowering the amount of student loan debt required to pursue a legal education.
The Pre-Law Program encourages students to apply early and often for both Baylor-specific and outside scholarship opportunities. In addition to the resources listed below, students should regularly search national and regional databases for pre-law scholarships.
Through the generosity of program supporters, the Pre-Law Program offers subsidies to help offset law school application expenses.
This subsidy provides direct payment to the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) for fees such as:
- The Credential Assembly Service (CAS) subscription (one-time fee of $215)
- CAS Reports ($45 per law school application)
Students who have already paid the CAS subscription fee are still eligible to receive support for CAS Reports. Awards are based on overall application strength and need, rather than any single factor.
